The organic farming is really healthy. The food that is organic has no GMO in it, and it kind of prevents the cancer cells from growing. The GMO products have artificial chemicals that non- organic farmers add. The point of today's topic is to see that organic farmers really help the environment, and I personally think that they should get more money than they are given by the government. We will become more self- aware if we visit places like Annadana farme often, even just by ourselves. Today we became self aware of what some farmers add to the food, and what can happen to us if we eat artificial food.
If farmers plant for a long period of time, the soil gets really dry because of weather conditions, and "gets tired." In Annadana farms, Sangata told us that you should have a water collector, that collects the water during the rain season. After you use all of the water, you should take the top level of soil and mix it with normal soil, and some other things (ex. cow dung). That way the soil will produce a big amount of food.
We also learned about swimming safety today. A lot of people every year die because of drowning, and that's why we learned how to prevent that. First of all, people should look where they are swimming, and note if there is an adult, supervisor or lifeguard. Second of all, if you see somebody drowning, you should be sure that you can save them, otherwise you both can drown. And lastly, when you jump in the water to save somebody, come from the back, because that way the person who is drowning will not grab you, and you both won't sink.
