During CL Day 2, grade 6 worked with a local organization called ReapBenefit which taught our kids how to design solutions to real-world problems. At the end of the session, they created a 3min video and submitted it to a contest. Here's their final product.
This group was shortlisted for the finals and was invited to present their idea to a panel of judges at the contest the Green Hackathon. Here are the impressions of one participant, Ruhani Suresh:
"I thought that the Green Hackathon was a lot of fun. It was a good opportunity. We got to see many other people's projects and they were nice too. Some people created drones, water filters, etc.
The judges went around looking at everyone's ideas and talking to us about how the idea could actually work. We got to be on the radio and on social media and we were very excited!
Though we didn't win, we would still like to use our idea because we think it's a good one. This was a really nice day for us and we really liked it."
