CL Day 4 was an amazing day. Our group had tons of fun. We were assigned to create a website using our basic knowledge of code. We started with being informed that we were going to be using a coding base named Microsoft Share Point. We then learnt about basic HTML, something we had all already learned in ICT class, so it was easy to understand. We learnt about tags, how to use HTML, how to use it for a website, etc.. We then learnt how to use SharePoint.
After around 45 minutes, We then started our work. We decided on researching about the gas based power-plant in Yelahanka. I was partnered with Eric. We quickly got to work and did extensive research. After a few hours, we had all completed our websites. We then presented in front of the group and left for lunch.
After lunch, we prepared for presenting what we did during the day. After that, my class and 8LL had a session on Pi day, a famous mathematical symbol. After that, we presented our work in the green area beside the Middle School Atrium and building.
All in All, I very much enjoyed this CL day and learnt a lot from it. I hope we have more days like this in the future.
During contextual learning, day 2, Grade 7 went to the I-AIM Health Center where we learned about medicinal plants native to India. While at the center, we learned about many plants and eventually, we took a plant each back to school to plant with the SK students. In our time with the SK students, we taught them how to garden, as well as learning more about it ourselves. Finally, we finished off our day with a spirited game of touch rugby.
