We began CL day 6 with Mr Costa in Miss Veena's classroom. As I was in the crêpes group, we started off by filling the crêpes that we were supposed to do during the weekend. We filled the crêpes with either chocolate, peanut butter, or strawberry jelly and in addition bananas. It was really fun to fill the crêpes and I think everyone did an excellent job.
In the other group, they did kathi rolls. I came to help after finishing the crêpes. We had to take a piece of tortilla and fill it with baby corn and vegetables. It looked delicious. After that we all went for an "awesome " bus ride, which was a little long.
We finally arrived at Alliance Française where we catered an fundraising event organzed by grade 8 students. We arrived in the auditorium to watch grade 8 presentations about Sparsha orphanage children. We would be giving away our crêpes and kehi rolls in the same space.
We first settled down to eat our lunch and then me and Mithali took care of the crêpes stand. Grade 8 had a really heartwarming speech. They spoke about Sparsha orphanage and did a 2 minutes video about each child. I felt bad for the children because most of them lost their parents.
Overall, the day was good. We gave away almost all the crêpes, and the kathi rolls were over. Indeed we made Sparsha's children happy. I think the best gift you can ever give is giving someone a chance to accomplish their dreams , dreams they cannot afford.
